Incumbent is a member of the Human Resources (HR) team in the U.S. Embassy Berlin, and is responsible for personnel functions performed at Mission Germany. The position supports the Consulates General Hamburg, Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Munich and Frankfurt, as needed. Incumbent serves as Post Classification Advisor (PCA), providing guidance to supervisors in developing new/revising existing positions. Incumbent is also responsible for recruitment and onboarding of employees, educating employees about Merit Based Compensation (MBC) and the performance management cycle.
Other duties include management of the Foreign National Student Internship Program; assistance with recruitment of Official Residence staff; preparation of all types of personnel actions; placement and promotion of local employees; and preparing staffing patterns.
You have completed two years of full-time general college studies.
Furthermore you were able to gain progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or administrative field.
