Job summary

Rotork in Langenzenn, Germany invites an experienced HSE Leader to oversee Health, Safety and Environmental performance across all German sites and the Poland branch. The role focuses on engagement-driven safety culture, coaching leaders and embedding sustainability into daily decisions.

You will drive continuous improvement, develop training, manage ISO frameworks, and support energy reduction initiatives within a manufacturing setting. Fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Health, Safety and Environmental programmes in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; ideally ISO 50001.
• Experience managing audits, legal compliance and management systems.
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and visionary HSE Leader to join our team in Langenzenn, with responsibility for all German sites and our branch in Poland.

We are looking for someone who can influence, coach, and inspire people at all levels of the organization, helping us embed in a culture where safety, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility are integral to everyday decision-making.

As HSE Manager, you will drive Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across our operations while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where every team member feels empowered to contribute to our safety mission. Working closely with site leadership and Group Health and Safety, you'll take group-wide HSE strategies and turn it into practical actions that make a real difference on the ground. From developing training, managing ISO systems, and supporting energy reduction initiatives, you'll be at the centre of our continuous improvement journey.

You’ll be joining a manufacturing environment where your ability to build relationships, challenge constructively and engage teams will be just as important as your technical expertise.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Experience leading Health, Safety and Environmental programmes within a manufacturing environment.
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) qualification or an equivalent HSE certification (e.g., IOSH or a recognized German/EU equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ideally ISO 50001.
• Experience managing audits, legal compliance and management systems
• IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
• Fluent in German and English

• Critical thinking skills and the ability to constructively resolve problems.
• Be able to coach and lead non reporting teams through change.
• In-depth knowledge of German and EU occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• A track record of driving positive behavioural and cultural change.
• Experience working within a multinational or international organization.
• Familiarity with German workplace culture and organizational practices.
