Job summary

rkwse is seeking an experienced HSE Leader to develop and drive Group-wide safety standards across RKW sites. You will lead audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions with a focus on proactive risk management and continuous improvement.

You will coordinate global HSE activities, analyze KPI data, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. A travel-ready, international role with a commitment to safety excellence and training is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in global HSE management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of occupational safety regulations and ISO 45001.
• Hands-on experience with safety tools like LOTO, JSA, 5 Why, and FME.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and improve Group-wide HSE standards and safety rules across RKW sites.
• Support sites in meeting HSE regulations and conduct safety audits; close gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Define and analyze leading and lagging safety KPIs; report transparently and drive site actions.
• Coordinate HSE risk management, risk assessments, investigations, and preventive measures.
• Establish and lead HSE communication platforms, trainings, and stakeholder engagement.
• Share best practices across sites and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct; act as a role model for safety leadership and compliance.

Your role and responsibilities

• Develop, introduce, review, and continuously improve Group-wide HSE standards and safety rules. Support and follow up their consistent implementation across RKW sites
• Support sites in meeting applicable HSE regulations, standards, and business requirements. Conduct or coordinate safety audits, identify gaps, and follow up corrective actions
• Define, monitor, and analyze leading and lagging safety KPIs. Ensure transparent reporting, identify improvement priorities, and follow up site-level action plans
• Coordinate HSE risk management and support risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and active problem solving. Act as a central contact for safety-related issues and promote effective preventive measures
• Establish and lead global, regional, and site-level HSE communication platforms, including meetings, workshops, and training. Engage operational and functional stakeholders to strengthen safety awareness and execution
• Organize cross-site exchange of HSE best practices and lessons learned. Support the adoption of proven approaches to improve safety performance throughout the Group
• Adhere to RKW’s Code of Conduct, represent the company professionally, and act as a visible role model for safety leadership, compliance, and zero tolerance for critical safety breaches

Your profile and qualifications

• Experience in global HSE management, international safety audits, and collaboration with multicultural, cross-functional teams
• Sound knowledge of occupational safety systems, regulations, and risks, ideally including OSHA and ISO 45001
• Practical experience with safety and problem-solving methods such as LOTO, JSA, root cause analysis, 5 Why, and FME
• Strong understanding of safety KPIs, combined with an analytical, structured, and results-oriented working style
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent English; German or French is an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%
