Job summary

Leap29 supports a contractor delivering a major data centre project in the Frankfurt region. We are looking for experienced HSE Advisors and HSE Managers to join the project on a long-term freelance basis.

The role covers health, safety and environmental performance across a live construction site, working closely with project management, construction teams and subcontractors. Candidates with Data Centre or mission-critical project experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as HSE Advisor/Manager or similar on construction sites.
• Strong construction HSE experience with data centre or mission critical projects preferred.
• German language skills advantageous; on-site availability in Frankfurt.
• Right to work / freelance in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support day-to-day HSE activities across the construction site.
• Carry out site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Review RAMS and ensure safe working practices are followed.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with HSE requirements.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations and reporting.
• Maintain HSE documentation and project reporting.
• Collaborate with construction managers, supervisors and subcontractors.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
• For Manager-level candidates, lead HSE activities and guide the project team.

We are looking for experienced HSE Advisors and HSE Managers to join the project on a long-term freelance basis.

The position will support health, safety and environmental performance across a live data centre construction site, working closely with project management, construction teams and subcontractors throughout delivery.

We are interested in candidates at both Advisor and Manager level, with previous experience on data centres, mission-critical facilities or other complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support day-to-day HSE activities across the construction site
• Carry out site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments
• Review RAMS and ensure safe working practices are being followed
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with project and statutory HSE requirements
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Identify unsafe conditions or working practices and coordinate corrective actions
• Support the investigation and reporting of incidents and near misses
• Maintain HSE documentation and project reporting
• Work closely with construction managers, supervisors and subcontractors across multiple disciplines
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the project
• For Manager-level candidates, lead HSE activities and provide guidance to the wider project team

Requirements

• Previous experience as an HSE Advisor, HSE Manager, EHS Advisor, EHS Manager or similar
• Strong construction HSE experience
• Previous Data Centre or Mission Critical project experience is preferred
• Experience working with main contractors, MEP contractors or specialist subcontractors
• Good understanding of German construction health and safety requirements
• Experience with risk assessments, RAMS, site audits and incident investigation
• German language skills are highly advantageous
• Ability to work on-site in Frankfurt
• Relevant right to work / freelance in Germany
