Seeking an experienced HSE Trainer / HSE Advisor to support a large and complex construction project in Germany. The role combines HSE training, site inductions, workforce engagement, and hands‑on HSE advisory support across the construction site.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver HSE inductions and training programmes for site personnel, contractors, and construction teams.
- Prepare training materials, safety awareness campaigns, and toolbox talks.
- Deliver engaging classroom and on-site HSE training to a multicultural and multilingual workforce.
- Provide practical HSE advice and coaching to construction management, supervisors, and contractors.
- Conduct workplace inspections and verify implementation of HSE controls in the field.
- Review risk assessments, method statements and RAMS to identify and control construction risks.
- Identify unsafe conditions and behaviours and intervene appropriately to prevent incidents.
- Support the development and promotion of a positive safety culture across the project.
- Work closely with construction teams and contractors to drive HSE compliance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain appropriate training and HSE documentation and administration.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HSE Trainer, HSE Advisor, HSE Specialist or HSE Supervisor on large construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of HSE regulations, construction safety practices, and safety instruction programmes.
- Strong practical experience with risk assessments, RAMS/method statement review, workplace inspections and field verification.
- Confident delivering inductions and training to large groups.
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and public‑speaking skills.
- Ability to engage, coach and mentor personnel across a multicultural construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of German HSE regulations, international HSE standards and industry best practices.
- Fluent German is mandatory, with good written and spoken English.
- Relevant HSE certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
