The role requires a Florida teaching license, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and the ability to work ~40+ hours weekly. You will use Stride K12 and other tools to monitor progress and coach students to meet goals, including test preparation.

Strong communication with families and the ability to adapt to new technologies are essential.

Jobbeschreibung

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment
• Provide instruction, support, and guidance
• Manage the learning process and focus on students’ individual needs
• Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system
• Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals
• Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences
• Personalize learning for all students
• Differentiate instruction based on student mastery
• Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools
• Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity
• Make student placement and promotion decisions
• Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests
• Establish and maintain positive rapport with families
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner
• Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues
• Travel approximately once per month or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

Requirements

• Florida 5 Year Professional Agriculture Certificate
• Residency in Florida
• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Ability to clear required background check
• Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
• Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday
• Experience working with the proposed age group (desired)
• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology (desired)
• Experience teaching in an online or brick-and-mortar environment (desired)
• Experience with online learning platforms (desired)
• Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data (desired)
