Job description

We are MIETHKE, a globally active, medium‑sized medical technology company based in Potsdam. As a technology leader in the field of neurosurgical implants, we develop and manufacture highly specialized solutions for the drainage of cerebrospinal fluid – with precision, innovative strength and responsibility for our patients suffering from hydrocephalus. Our particularly high level of vertical integration is a key success factor.

As part of our central management team, you will play a key role in further developing sustainable health and safety standards, as well as a safety and environmental culture that is understood and put into practice.

Be a part of our versatile team: Do you want to shape things, take on responsibility and work in an environment of equals? Then you've come to the right place. We are looking for a committed individual with analytical acumen, a structured way of thinking and a desire for responsibility.

And: diversity, appreciation and tolerance are part of our culture – we would be delighted if this also corresponds to your core values.

YOUR TASKS
  • You ensure compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental standards, and further develop these with a sense of proportion and an eye to operational requirements.
  • You provide practical advice to managers and staff, carry out risk analyses and implement preventive measures.
  • You develop and oversee management systems in accordance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, ensuring that these create genuine added value for the company.
  • You analyse risks, incidents and key performance indicators, identify areas for improvement and support their implementation across the departments.
  • You act as a liaison between managers, employees and regulatory authorities, and promote a sustainable safety and environmental culture.
YOUR PROFILE
  • You have completed a degree in engineering or natural sciences, or a technical apprenticeship, and hold the qualification of Occupational Safety Specialist (SiFa).
  • You have in-depth knowledge of health and safety and environmental law, as well as experience with management systems compliant with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Ideally, you have professional experience in an industrial environment.
  • You think entrepreneurially, identify interfaces and weigh up requirements pragmatically without losing sight of the essentials.
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team and the ability to engage people with issues rather than merely managing them.
OUR OFFER
  • a permanent contract
  • family‑friendly and flexible working time models and a workplace, where we can be ourselves
  • the possibility of a company pension scheme, further qualification through the opportunity to participate in further training events
  • sporting activities and team events as well as coffee specialties, tea and water at any time, but also much more
  • a working environment in an innovative, medium‑size company with over 250 employees and interesting and varied tasks
  • other benefits such as childcare subsidies, Urban Sportsclub, JobLunch and much more
