Irving Knight Group partners with a global €1b revenue specialty chemical manufacturer in Bavaria to hire a Head of Technical Marketing for the cosmetics division. The role is hybrid and requires regular HQ presence with relocation support if needed.

You will lead a six-person team spanning marketing, lab technology and regulatory affairs, drive technical service concepts, coordinate global activities and develop new business opportunities while ensuring compliance.

Competenze

• Technical degree in Chemistry, Engineering or similar.
• Five+ years in a cosmetics lab or personal care materials role.

Head of Technical Marketing, Cosmetics - Multinational Specialty Chemical Manufacturer - Bavaria, Germany (Hybrid)

Irving Knight has partnered with a global €1b revenue specialty chemical manufacturer to hire a Head of Technical Marketing within their cosmetic division. This position will require a regular presence at their HQ in Bavaria, Germany. We welcome applicants from all across the European Union, and a relocation fee can be paid for the successful applicant.

Our client is over 150 years old and has long been regarded as one of the most reputable manufacturers of specialty chemicals in Germany. They currently employ 1,700 people and have business in every continent.

In this position, the successful applicant will lead a team of six employees across marketing, lab technology, and regulatory affairs. Primary responsibilities include managing a technical service teams daily work and marketing concepts, coordinating activities in global regions, working with internal departments to ensure compliance, and creating new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Reporting to the Global Head of Strategy & Marketing, you will lead a team of six marketing, lab technology and regulatory affairs professionals at HQ in Bavaria.
• Observation and analysis of market and industry trends, as well as the derivation of strategic measures for the successful positioning and marketing of our products.
• Definition of new development projects, evaluation of product innovations and management of the further development of the product portfolio.
• Work with commercial teams in all global regions to achieve strategic growth targets.
• Plan technical content for and participate in trade shows.

Qualifications:

• A technical degree in Chemistry, Engineering or similar is absolutely essential.
• Minimum of five years of experience in an application/lab based role working with Personal Care raw materials or cosmetic ingredients.
• Three years minimum of team leadership experience.
• The ability to speak English fluently essential. German would be preferred.
• Self-motivated, high energy, and engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt communication style to the audience as needed.
• Software knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Must be able to attend HQ in Bavaria three days per week.
• Must be able to fully relocate if not within commutable distance.
