Qualifications

• Proven SAP leadership at mid-management level or above, including people management.
• Strong track record of delivering SAP implementations, rollouts and transformation programmes (ideally involving S/4HANA).
• Hands-on leader able to own delivery from planning to execution.
• Experience managing external consultancies and implementation partners.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with business departments.

Responsibilities

I’m thrilled to share an exciting career opportunity with a leading German, family-owned industrial group operating internationally within the manufacturing industry.

Due to ongoing investment in their SAP landscape, my client is looking to appoint a new Head of SAP to take ownership of its SAP environment and lead the company's S/4HANA transformation, with rollout planned for 2028.

This is a senior in-house leadership position combining people management with hands‑on programme and project delivery. You will lead an SAP team of approximately 10 employees, work closely with business stakeholders and manage external implementation partners to ensure the successful delivery of the transformation roadmap.

Profile

• You have proven experience in SAP leadership at mid-management level or above, including people management
• You have a strong track record of delivering SAP implementations, rollouts and transformation programmes, ideally involving S/4HANA
• You are a hands‑on leader capable of taking ownership of delivery outcomes from planning through to execution
• You have experience managing external consultancies, implementation partners and third‑party resources
• You possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with business departments and align priorities
• You are confident leading teams, coordinating resources and driving projects forward in a pragmatic and structured manner
• You are fluent in both German and English
