Kleinanzeigen is seeking a Head of Product - Transactions to own the end-to-end experience for buyers and sellers, including payments, shipping, pickup, status tracking and disputes. You will lead four Senior/Principal PMs and shape a coherent strategy to move managed trade from optional to the default path across shipping, local pickup and cash, aligned with terms and readiness.

• Extensive experience in Product Management, including senior leadership roles (Head of Product / Group PM / Lead PM / Principal PM).
• Strong background in transactional products, such as payments, checkout, marketplaces, fintech, or e-commerce.
• Proven experience leading and scaling PM teams.
• Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional products at scale, ideally in transactional product ecosystems, (classifieds) marketplace and mult-domain product organisations.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered features, not only using AI tools, and a track record of changing how a product team works with AI.

As Head of Product - Transactions, you will own the end-to-end transaction experience at Kleinanzeigen: how people complete trades, pay or arrange pickup, understand status and disputes, and return for another trade. You will lead four Senior/Principal Product Managers and set a coherent strategy for moving managed trade from optional towards the required way to complete eligible transactions across shipping, local pickup and cash, subject to applicable terms and operational readiness. You will balance adoption with the share of buyer-seller interactions that end in completed trades, seller trust, repeat use and sustainable business value. You will work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Legal, Finance, Risk, Customer Support and Commercial partners as well as the other Heads of Product, to drive awareness, onboarding and adoption of managed trade across the platform.

What You Bring

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & Vision

• Set the vision and roadmap for transactions. Define a clear path to make managed trade (payment, shipping and local pickup) the default way to complete eligible trades, in line with company strategy and user value.
• Make the whole journey work end to end, from finding items that can be traded safely, through agreeing, paying or picking up, tracking status and resolving disputes, to coming back for the next transaction.
• Make managed trade the obvious choice. Invest in what makes buyers and sellers trust and prefer it, including their concerns about held funds and dispute decisions, so it creates lasting value for users and the business.

AI-Native Product Leadership & Execution

• Lead, coach, and develop 4 Senior/Principal Product Managers, fostering strong product thinking, ownership, and collaboration.
• Make building the default. Your PMs go from idea to validated prototype in days. You set the bar for what is ready to hand off.
• Put AI to work in the transaction journey. You decide where AI makes managed trade simpler and safer, such as checkout, shipping, disputes and fraud signals. You also connect transactions to our agentic companion (KAI).
• Lead through the change. You coach your PMs to build, reshape team development processes as roles blur, and build confidence around AI.
• Balance short-term business impact with long-term platform scalability and technical sustainability.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary product counterpart for transaction topics for senior leadership.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Legal, Finance, Risk, and Commercial teams.
• Align internal and external dependencies (e.g. payment providers, fraud systems, regulatory requirements).

Metrics & Outcomes

• Define and track managed-trade adoption, completed transactions and repeat use of transaction products. Ensure clear actionable goals for your teams to own, track and report on.
• Use data, experimentation, and customer insights to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
