Our client identifies and develops large-scale battery storage projects end to end, covering permitting, design, and financing, then manages construction through to commissioning, and takes on long-term asset management to optimise performance against energy market developments. They work closely with local communities, municipalities, investors, grid operators, and energy markets to deliver projects that work for everyone involved. Their portfolio includes the largest standalone battery storage system built in the Netherlands.

The Opportunity

Enemix Group is partnering exclusively with this business to appoint a Grid Connection Manager into a genuinely international role. This position covers live BESS and transmission projects across multiple markets, including:

• Project 1: 750MWGrid secured, land secured, permit granted, COD 2028.
• Project 2: 544MW Grid applied for, land secured, permit in preparation
• 110-380kV grid infrastructure in Germany

This is a role for someone who wants to operate at scale, across voltage classes and jurisdictions, working closely with TSOs, DSOs, and EPC contractors to bring complex grid connection projects from planning through to energisation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing grid connection and substation projects across multiple markets and voltage levels (110kV up to 500kV).
• Acting as the technical and commercial link between the client, TSOs/DSOs, EPC contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Overseeing project delivery from planning and permitting through construction, commissioning, and energisation.
• Coordinating primary systems, protection and control, and civil works interfaces across international project teams.
• Managing risk, project controls, and stakeholder relationships across different regulatory environments.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in grid connections, substations, or transmission infrastructure (110kV and above).
• A track record working within or alongside TSO/DSO environments.
• Experience coordinating EPC contractors and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Comfortable managing stakeholders across different countries and regulatory frameworks.

You'd be working on some of the largest battery storage projects in Germany right now, alongside international transmission work, for a business that owns the full project lifecycle from permitting to long-term operation.
