Job summary

Mobis Parts Europe N.V. in Frankfurt am Main is seeking an experienced engineer to contribute to the development of gearbox systems and related components.

The role requires a solid background in mechanical engineering and several years of experience in transmission/gearbox development, with CATIA V5 proficiency and strong English communication. You will work on on-axis and off-axis geartrain design, HEV and EV drivetrain elements, and engage in cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering/Physics.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience and 3+ years in transmission/gearbox/reducer development.
• Experience with reducer components (gear/shaft/bearings) with suppliers.
• CATIA V5 basic or intermediate skills.
• Team player with excellent analytical skills.
• Very good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research gearbox system, clutch/disconnector and its manufacturing process.
• Research differential & bevel gear manufacturing process.
• Design on-axis, off-axis geartrain and differential system.
• Design gearbox components (gear, shaft, bearings).
• Design HEV clutch systems and actuators.
• Design EV secondary drive unit disconnector and actuators.
• Review part and assembly drawings, and design concepts.
• Report gearbox system design progress to the project manager.
