Job summary

MOBIS Parts Europe N.V. in Germany is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to contribute to gearbox and transmission system development.

You will design on-axis and off-axis geartrain, gear, shafts, bearings, and EV/HEV drive components, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. The role requires a university degree in engineering or physics, 5+ years in mechanical engineering and 3+ years in transmission/gearbox development, with strong English communication and Catia V5 skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering/Physics.
• 5+ years of experience in Mechanical engineering and 3+ years in Transmission/Gearbox/Reducer development engineering.
• Experience in reducer component (gear/shaft/bearings) development with suppliers.
• Catia V5 Basic or intermediate skills.
• Team player with good analytical skills.
• Very good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Research gearbox system, clutch/disconnector and its manufacturing process.
• Research differential & bevel gear manufacturing process.
• Design on-axis, off-axis geartrain and differential system.
• Design gearbox component (gear, shaft, bearings).
• Design HEV clutch (multi-plate clutch, dog clutch) system and its actuator.
• Design EV secondary drive unit disconnector and its actuator.
• Review part and assembly drawings, design concept.
• Report gearbox system design progress to the project manager.

Your profile

• University degree in Engineering/Physics
