Sport Signage specializes in racetrack and sports-event signage, offering end-to-end services from creative design and production to logistics, installation and software solutions. Backed by decades of global experience, our skilled team delivers bespoke design concepts, on-site printing, ground painting, LED displays and sustainable materials to transform circuits into completely immersive, branded environments.

KEY INFORMATION: Office Location: This role can be based in either the Amberg, Germany or Orpington, London office. Office Policy: Hybrid - 3 days in the office. Travel Requirement: Travel as required.

Sport Signage are looking for a Fleet Manager to join our Central Operations / Logistics team. The Fleet Manager provides dedicated ownership of Sport Signage vehicles, including vehicles used for company operations and vehicles rented to Formula 1 or other clients. The role ensures the fleet is visible, compliant, available, maintained and allocated effectively to operational and client requirements.

Fleet Management sits within Central Operations / Logistics and works closely with Logistics, event Operations Managers, Finance/Commercial and external vehicle providers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Fleet Register & Visibility: Maintain an accurate register of owned, leased and relevant rented vehicles. Track location, status, availability, assigned user/event, key dates and known issues. Provide reliable fleet information for operational planning.
  • Maintenance & Readiness: Plan routine servicing, inspections, repairs, tyres and other readiness activity. Minimise vehicle downtime during critical event periods. Ensure known defects are recorded, prioritised and resolved before deployment where required.
  • Event & Client Allocation: Translate approved event and client requirements into vehicle allocation plans. Coordinate handovers, returns, keys, documentation and condition checks. Identify shortages early and recommend rental or substitution options.
  • Rental Provider Management: Coordinate approved rental providers and maintain clear records of bookings, extensions, returns and associated documentation. Monitor provider service and vehicle suitability and elevate recurring issues.
  • Damage & Incident Management: Maintain records of damage, incidents, repair status and supporting information. Coordinate inspections and repair actions and provide information to relevant internal stakeholders. Ensure damage is not lost between users, events and providers.
  • Logistics Interface: Coordinate vehicle availability with the Logistics Coordinator so transport and event movement plans are realistic. Distinguish vehicle ownership/maintenance from shipment planning while keeping both functions aligned.
  • Compliance & Records: Maintain required vehicle documentation and service/inspection records. Escalate specialist legal or regulatory questions to qualified providers or the Risk/Compliance function.
  • Cost & Utilisation: Maintain visibility of rental, lease, maintenance, repair, fuel and avoidable damage cost drivers where data is available. Identify under-utilised vehicles, repeated emergency rentals and opportunities to improve fleet planning.
  • User Communication: Provide clear handover expectations and reporting routes for defects/damage. Ensure users understand basic return, cleanliness, refuelling/charging and documentation requirements where applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop standard vehicle allocation, condition-check and maintenance processes. Use fleet data to improve availability, cost and operational reliability.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

Experience managing vehicles, rentals, fleet operations, transport assets or a comparable operational asset base. Strong administrative control of records, dates and handovers. Experience coordinating external service providers and resolving time‑critical vehicle issues. Motorsport/event fleet experience is advantageous.

  • Fleet administration and asset visibility.
  • Maintenance scheduling and provider coordination.
  • Vehicle allocation and handover control.
  • Damage/incident record keeping.
  • Cost awareness and operational problem solving.
