Warehouse / Storage Manager

Sport Signage are looking for a Warehouse / Storage Manager to join our Inventory & Asset Management team. The Warehouse / Storage Manager owns the physical operation of Sport Signage warehouse and storage areas in Amberg. The role ensures assets and materials are received, stored, identified, picked, staged, loaded and returned accurately and safely in line with event priorities set through Inventory & Asset Management. The Warehouse / Storage Manager maintains the physical discipline that allows the Inventory Manager's system and allocation information to remain reliable.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• 1. Warehouse Organisation & Standards Maintain clear storage zones, access routes, labelling and housekeeping standards. Ensure frequently used event assets can be found and accessed efficiently. Avoid uncontrolled storage that undermines inventory accuracy or creates safety risks.
• 2. Receiving & Put-Away Coordinate receipt of returned assets, supplier deliveries and other incoming items. Check basic quantity/identity against available information, report discrepancies and place items in the correct location/status.
• 3. Picking & Event Staging Execute event pick lists/allocation instructions from Inventory Management. Stage items by event, destination or loading sequence and clearly identify priorities. Raise shortages, damaged items or unclear instructions before loading deadlines.
• 4. Loading & Logistics Handover Coordinate loading/unloading activity and provide clear handover to Logistics/drivers. Support efficient loading sequence, secure handling and destination control. Ensure items are not dispatched without appropriate identification or required records.
• 5. Returns & Reconciliation Receive event returns, identify discrepancies/damage and route items for storage, repair, quarantine or further review. Provide timely physical confirmation so Inventory records can be updated.
• 6. Team Leadership Allocate tasks to the Warehouse Assistant and other assigned support. Set expectations for accuracy, pace, safe handling and housekeeping. Identify training or additional resource needs during peak race periods.
• 7. Safety & Equipment Maintain safe warehouse working practices, storage methods and use of handling equipment. Ensure only competent/authorised personnel operate relevant machinery and orchestrate defects or unsafe conditions.
• 8. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve layout, picking routes, storage density, labelling, standard event kits and return processes. Reduce avoidable handling and search time while preserving accuracy.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

Warehouse, storage, logistics, event equipment or materials-handling experience. Experience supervising warehouse staff or coordinating daily warehouse activity. IHRE AUFGABEN

• 1. Lagerorganisation und Standards Klare Lagerzonen, Zugangswege, Kennzeichnungen sowie Ordnungs- und Sauberkeitsstandards aufrechterhalten. Sicherstellen, dass häufig verwendete Veranstaltungsbetriebsmittel effizient gefunden und erreicht werden können.
