OSM Thome is seeking a hands-on Fitter for an offshore dredger operating on worldwide trades. The role emphasizes safety-minded, practical problem-solving to keep hull, deck and machinery steelwork in good, reliable condition.

You will weld, cut, grind and fabricate on deck and in the engine room, assist engine crew with maintenance and overhauls, and maintain tools/workshop while following permit-to-work procedures.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Fitter at sea, preferably on offshore/dredger or similar vessels.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills (arc, gas cutting, basic machining).
• Good English for work and safety communication.

• Assist engine crew with maintenance and overhauls when required
• Maintain tools, welding machines and workshop in safe working order
• Follow onboard safety procedures and permit-to-work system at all times

Requirements:

• Experience as Fitter at sea, preferably on offshore/dredger or similar vessels

• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for worldwide service
• Good English for work and safety communication
