Job summary

AND-E is seeking a Finance Governance professional to collaborate with European Finance teams. You will shape and improve finance processes, governance, and data quality, while driving cross-border initiatives and digitalization.

The role requires a university degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years in accounting or reporting, ideally in an insurance setting. English fluency is essential; German is a plus. Flexible, hybrid work options supported across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial governance across Europe and Finance IT systems.
• Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across entities and ensure data quality.
• Review governance compliance, data quality checks, and attestations per group policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audit findings and remediation measures.
• Lead Finance Process and Data Quality Reviews and advise local teams on standardized processes.
• Document guidelines, processes, and training to strengthen governance awareness.
• Drive process optimization and AI/digital automation to improve efficiency and control.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Ensure and further develop Financial Governance across the Finance Community of AND-E SE and TIM SE as well as for relevant Finance IT systems and applications
• Support and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes across European entities and business divisions, including the assessment and technical reconciliation of month-end closing Balance Sheet and Profit-and-Loss calculations
• Monitor and review Finance processes, policies, and internal controls to ensure consistent application of the agreed governance framework and completion of data quality checks and attestations as required by (group) policies and procedures
• Coordinate and monitor internal and external audit findings, ensuring timely implementation and closure of agreed remediation measures / findings
• Conduct and further develop onsite and offsite Finance Process and Data Quality Reviews, ensuring compliance with policies and the Financial Governance Framework
• Advise and guide local Finance teams on standardized accounting processes, policies and Financial Governance requirements
• Develop and maintain guidelines, process documentation, and training concepts to strengthen Finance capabilities and governance awareness across the Finance Community
• Drive continuous process optimization and digitalization by documenting and analysing process and data workflows and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven and/or (digital) automation IT applications to improve efficiency, control, and data quality

What It Takes To Succeed In This Role

• Relevant university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and professional experience
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Accounting or Reporting within an insurance company, ideally in a European environment with multiple local GAAP standards
• Experience in an international audit firm or accounting/governance consultancy is a plus
• Strong business acumen and a high level of initiative, combined with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Solid experience with local GAAP and IFRS consolidation, as well as a broad understanding of financial accounting processes and digitalization/AI applications
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, combined with a commercial mindset and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and international Finance team
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German is a plus
