Amazon Munich is seeking a Finance Manager (Accounting) to join our international finance team. This role goes beyond reporting; you will own the processes, drive impact, and influence decisions in a fast-moving environment, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

You will lead month-end close, financial reporting, and audits, and develop scalable improvements using automation and AI-powered tools, with exposure to Power BI, Python, SQL, and data analytics.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP) with day-to-day application.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting under established procedures.
• Experience supporting controls or audits over financial reporting environments.
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions.
• Knowledge of SOX methodology and related standards (sections 302, 404, AS5, PCAOB).

• Drive core accounting operations, including month‑end closing, financial reporting, and the management of external audits across multiple frameworks with accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

About the team

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or experience or equivalent experience in finance roles
• Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (including US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks), with the ability to apply them in day‑to‑day financial activities
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Experience supporting month‑end closing processes and contributing to financial reporting under established procedures
• Experience supporting the implementation of controls or contributing to audits over financial reporting environments
• Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions
• Knowledge of SOX methodology and associated standards (sections 302, 404, AS5, PCAOB, etc.)

Preferred qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables, macros, VBA, Power Query)
• Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau)
