Zusammenfassung

EMEA Recruitment is supporting an international organisation in Munich in its search for a Finance Manager. This role covers financial reporting, FP&A, business partnering and process improvement across a portfolio of companies.

You will drive performance through budget-to-actual analyses, assist in GAAP reporting, and lead the integration of acquisitions, while coordinating with offshore finance resources in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of proven experience in a finance/accounting role.
• Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, FCA, FCCA), or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in both German and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Proven ability to lead teams, implement change, and drive process improvement.
• Experience coordinating tasks with an offshore team; ability to delegate.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Finance function for a portfolio of companies, supported by a team of internal and offshore finance resources, contributing to day-to-day accounting work including customer contracts, expense and accrual oversight, and treasury and banking needs
• Assist in preparing timely and accurate GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIs for operating companies, performing quality assurance on finance and accounting work product
• Drive portfolio company performance through analysis of budget-to-actuals, revenue and expense trends, and insights that support decision-making
• Lead the operational and financial integration of acquisitions, implementing financial initiatives identified during the M&A process
• Lead finance process improvement projects and document SOPs to drive efficiency and best practice across the portfolio
• Support other ad-hoc tasks as they arise

EMEA Recruitment is working with a growing international organization in its search for a Finance Manager to join its team in Munich.

This is a broad role with responsibility for finance across a portfolio of businesses, combining financial reporting, FP&A, business partnering and process improvement.

You will also support the integration of newly acquired businesses, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international and acquisitive environment.

This is a hybrid position based in Munich, with three days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities of Finance Manager:

• Lead the Finance function for a portfolio of companies, supported by a team of internal and offshore finance resources, contributing to day-to-day accounting work including customer contracts, expense and accrual oversight, and treasury and banking needs
• Assist in preparing timely and accurate GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIs for operating companies, performing quality assurance on finance and accounting work product
• Drive portfolio company performance through analysis of budget-to-actuals, revenue and expense trends, and insights that support decision-making
• Lead the operational and financial integration of acquisitions, implementing financial initiatives identified during the M&A process
• Lead finance process improvement projects and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency and best practice across the portfolio
• Support other ad-hoc tasks as they arise

Skills and Experience Required:

• 7+ years of proven experience in a finance/accounting role
• Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, FCA, FCCA), or equivalent experience
• Fluency in both German and English is required; additional languages are a plus
• Proven ability to lead teams, implement change, and drive process improvement
• Ability to delegate and coordinate tasks and projects with an offshore team
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to converse with senior business executives
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
• Highly motivated and energetic, with an interest in entrepreneurship, software, and finance
• Self-starter, comfortable working in a hybrid environment
• Experience integrating acquisitions, implementing system transitions, or designing financial processes is an asset
• Experience with U.S. GAAP and Oracle NetSuite is a plus
