Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support FAA programs, including installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment at customer sites. You will travel to remote locations and provide on-call support, coordinating with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve issues.

The role requires reading equipment drawings,良 documentation, and knowledge of network testing tools. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a security clearance are necessary for this position.

Jobbeschreibung

• Provide technical support for FAA programs and systems including FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and others
• Install, repair, configure, test, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer remote locations
• Provide scheduled and on-call field support at customer locations within the assigned area
• Travel occasionally to remote sites outside the assigned area to support FAA customer needs
• Work directly with the NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk by phone to resolve field issues
• Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory, and personal or company vehicle
• Prepare for assigned tasks before dispatching
• Work with the supervisor/ASL to ensure L3Harris and program-specific policies and procedures are followed
• Document activities and events at customer locations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
• Ability to obtain a FAA Public Trust or a U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Ability to read, understand, and follow equipment drawings and task orders
• Good administrative skills, including note-taking and documentation
• Ability to lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach approximately 10 ft.
• Ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours/on-call when needed
• Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, or A+ preferred
• Working knowledge of cable connectors, fiber, multiplexers, network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET, ATM, private line, voice/data applications, and AC/DC power testing preferred
• Familiarity with 24V DC and 48V DC power supplies preferred
• Experience with T1, DS3, BERT, analog VG, and network/circuit testing preferred
• Experience using network test equipment such as JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, digital oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, or Para-scope preferred
• IP-based knowledge and experience configuring routers and switches preferred
• Experience installing equipment racks preferred
