Jobtailor seeks an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to support complex network and data integrations within FAA NAS environments. You will map data, validate interfaces, and deploy configurations across test and production environments.

The role requires deep knowledge of multi-vendor infrastructure (Cisco, Dell, HPE/Aruba), strong Linux skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams.

• Support full E-IDS System Integration across data, layouts, network components, and facility workflows
• Gather operational requirements directly from FAA facilities
• Build LDAs by mapping NDC fields to site-specific operational needs
• Validate data accuracy, layout behavior, system interfaces, and interoperability
• Deploy configurations and support iterative refinement across test and operational environments
• Document field mappings, layout decisions, template structures, system behaviors, and configuration changes
• Support system integration from hardware setup, logistics coordination, software configuration, and cutover activities
• Interpret Interface Control Documents, engineering drawings, and technical baselines
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues using standard Cisco diagnostic commands
• Integrate communications equipment with enterprise networks
• Support deployment and commissioning activities
• Troubleshoot common Linux operational issues
• Verify implementation packages before deployment
• Work across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Communicate technical issues to engineering and management audiences
• Analyze and resolve technical problems in a structured manner

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years’ related experience or Masters degree and 10 years experience or Associate’s degree and 14 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years’ experience
• 10+ years of systems integration experience supporting complex, multi-vendor network, communications, infrastructure, and software environments
• 2+ years of experience configuring and validating Cisco, Dell, and HPE/Aruba infrastructure using vendor management interfaces
• 3+ years of experience analyzing end-to-end system functionality, validating architecture, tracing data flows, and troubleshooting interface issues across integrated systems
• 2+ years of experience administering Linux systems using command-line utilities for system navigation, configuration verification, log analysis, file management, and basic troubleshooting
• Familiarity with FAA National Airspace System (NAS), E-IDS, or other mission-critical operational systems
• Understanding of Air Traffic Control (ATC) operational workflows and time-critical information requirements
• Knowledge of Local Data Administration (LDA), National Data Configuration (NDC), and operational display configuration
• Experience with interface configuration tools, layout editors, template management, and page builders
• Knowledge of relational databases, schemas, data normalization, and data relationships
• Experience troubleshooting operational data synchronization and interface inconsistencies
• Understanding of human factors engineering and usability principles for operational displays
• Experience supporting multi-site deployments, site readiness assessments, and commissioning activities
• Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes, configuration management, and change control
