Job summary

Vestas in Germany is seeking a Field Supervisor (m/f/d) to lead a service team of up to 30 technicians across Halle (Saale) and Güsten, with a focus on safety and on-time delivery. You will analyse KPIs, coordinate with Area Management, and manage budget and resources within the region.

The role offers professional development and a strong team culture. We value your technical or commercial training, leadership experience, German and English skills, and willingness to travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or technical/commercial degree completed.
• Experience leading employees and strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
• Familiar with KPI- and Performance-Management systems and MS Office/iOS apps.
• Willingness to travel within the region and drive a vehicle.
• Excellent German and good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to a team of up to 30 service technicians.
• Analyse KPIs and PPIs, derive measures to improve processes and outcomes.
• Conduct regular quality and employee audits to ensure compliance with work instructions and material usage.
• Make operational decisions with Area Management based on performance indicators.
• Manage budget, cost, and resources within the region.
• Identify training needs and develop the team to sustain competencies.
• Coordinate with planners to balance working time accounts and discuss with service technicians.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations on site.

Your responsibilities – here's where you can get involved!

• You will provide guidance and leadership to a team of up to 30 service technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule
• You will analyse KPIs and PPIs, derive measures to improve processes and outcomes, and keep organisational and departmental objectives in view
• You will carry out regular quality and employee audits, ensuring compliance with work instructions, standard times, and material usage
• You will make operational decisions together with Area Management based on regularly collected performance and process indicators
• You are responsible for budget, cost, and resource management within the region
• You will identify training needs and ensure targeted employee development to sustainably build competencies
• Together with the service technicians, you will monitor their working time accounts and coordinate with planners to balance additional and reduced hours
• As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations on site

Your profile – what makes you a great fit!

• You have completed vocational training in technical or commercial field, or hold a technical or commercial degree
• You have already gained experience in leading employees and bring strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills
• You are familiar with working with Microsoft and iOS operating systems and apps as well as with KPI- and Performance-Management systems
• You are comfortable working at heights and can operate safely above ground level
• You have a driving licence, and are willing to travel within the region
• Very good German and good English skills round off your profile
