FormFactor Inc. in Germany is seeking a Field - Service Engineer (m/f/d) to install, troubleshoot and repair Wafer Probe Systems at customer sites across the EMEA region.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, commission accessories, and prepare reports and protocols while collaborating with internal teams. Fluent German and English, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and a driving license with willingness to travel are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a similar service/maintenance role in semiconductor test or silicon photonics.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Aufgaben

• Supporting Wafer Probe System products on customer sites in the EMEA region.
• Installation and commissioning of probers and accessories, including final acceptance.
• Independent preventive and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
• Preparation of commissioning protocols and acceptance reports.
• Technical training and instruction of customers.
• Remote/ on-site troubleshooting and repair of probers.
• Documentation of work orders and service calls per FormFactor guidelines.
• Collaborate with FormFactor departments for product improvements.
• Participate in qualification measures and maintain health and safety standards.

Job Description:

Field - Service Engineer (m/f/d) /

who performs installations, troubleshooting and repairs at our customers' sites.

In our company, your core responsibilities include:

• Supporting our Wafer Probe System product
• Installation & commissioning of probers and accessories, including final acceptance according to test and acceptance regulations
• Independent execution of preventive & corrective maintenance at the customer’s site in the service area EMEA
• Preparation of commissioning protocols and acceptance reports
• Technical training and instruction of customers
• Troubleshooting and repair of our probers both as remote / telephone support and at the customer’s site
• Timely processing and documentation of work orders and service calls according to FormFactor guidelines
• Actively collaborate with other FormFactor departments to ensure continuous improvement of products
• Regular participation in qualification measures
• Adherence to all health and safety requirements both internally and during customer service calls

What you should bring with you:

• Engineer or technician in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology or similar
• At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar field of activity is typically required, ideally in Silicon Photonics and/or semiconductor test
• Detail-oriented work and strong problem-solving skills
• Accuracy, punctuality, good team and interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills in German and English both verbally and in writing
• Good knowledge of common MS Office applications
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel required
