FormFactor Inc. is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide a multi-disciplinary team responsible for sustaining and improving high-reliability semiconductor testing equipment. You will own released products in production, coordinate field issue resolution, and interface with distributed teams on NPI initiatives.

The role requires strong DFx experience, MTBF analysis, and a track record of driving reliability improvements in capital equipment environments.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 8 years of related engineering experience; senior-level responsibility expected.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred or PhD considered for advanced roles.
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment or related high-reliability systems advantageous.

Job Description:

FormFactor’s Triton is the industry leading silicon photonics test platform for insertion 1 PIC testing in high-volume production test at leading semiconductor fabs. This role with support released products in the field and enable our NPI organization to focus on next-generation development.

Responsibilities

• Leading the multi-disciplinary sustaining engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software, systems)
• The customer change process for Triton released products
• Field issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
• Reliability performance of fielded systems — MTBF tracking etc.
• Cost-down and design-for-manufacturability programs on released products
• Component obsolescence management and supplier qualification changes
• Acceptance criteria and gate review participation for NPI-to-sustaining product handoffs

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience in semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, or comparable high-reliability complex systems
• Demonstrated experience owning released products in production environments, field issue resolution, and continuous improvement programs
• Experience working across geographically distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ideally including sustaining, NPI, or product engineering functions.
• Direct experience with silicon photonics, wafer probe, or related test and measurement technologies
• Exposure to reliability engineering methods (FMEA, accelerated life testing, MTBF modeling) and DFx practices

• Can recruit strong senior engineers into the function
• Brings calm, structured judgment to customer escalations and production
• Maintains strong partnerships with the NPI. Builds feedback loops from field into design decisions, making sustaining a learning engine for the broader engineering organization
