FRAMOS, an international imaging technology company based in Munich, is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support Sales with technically demanding project discussions and assist in design-in. You will propose imaging solutions, demonstrate hardware setups, and help customers choose FRAMOS as their trusted partner for imaging projects.

The role is based in Munich with the option to work remotely a few days per week.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Support Sales with technical knowledge on customer opportunities from pre-sales through design-in.
• Consult customers and propose imaging solutions, including calls and on-site visits with Sales.
• Develop viable technical solutions and verify ideas with the Engineering team.
• Present solutions and demonstrate hardware setups to customers in calls and events.
• Act as a trusted advisor for FRAMOS customers in imaging projects.
• Represent FRAMOS at events and liaise with customers, partners, and industry leaders.

Are you a technology enthusiast with a background in technical customer consultancy or field application engineering?

We are FRAMOS, an international product-driven technology company of more than 160 amazing people from all over the world. We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our team in order to support our sales engineers during technically demanding project discussions. You will help to show our capabilities, use your technical skillset to find optimal solutions for specific customer applications, and be part of convincing customers to choose FRAMOS as their experienced partner for imaging projects.

As a Field Application Engineer, your daily duties will be exciting and varied, giving you lots of room to explore imaging solutions and apply your vast imaging know-how for our customer’s needs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be supporting Sales with technical knowledge on customer opportunities, starting from pre-sales consultancy all the way through the sales cycle up to successful design-in.
• You will consult customers and propose imaging solutions, including participating in customer calls, as well as on-site visits together with Sales
• You will think of viable technical solutions and verify your innovative ideas through discussing feasibility with our Engineering team
• You will convincingly present solutions and demonstrate hardware setups to customers directly in calls, as well as at events
• You are aiming to become a trusted advisor for FRAMOS customers and the imaging industry after all, living and breathing one of our company core values "Customer 1st"
• At events such as fairs, you will act as a technical representative liaising with customers, partners, and industry thought leaders
• Within FRAMOS, you will use your organizational and communication skills to reliably interface to various departments like Sales, Product Management, Custom Solutions, Marketing, Engineering, and others

The role is based in our office in Munich with an opportunity to work remotely a few days per week.

• You have a good understanding of hardware and already touched base with software technologies - for example in embedded systems, imaging, optics, physics, and semiconductor components through your studies as well as previous job experiences
• You have already gained valuable insights into the vision market, vision technology, image sensors, and/or image (pre)processing
• You communicate clearly and professionally in both German (C1 level or higher) and English (C1 level or higher)
• You feel comfortable working with embedded Linux environment
