European Tech Recruit is seeking a Field Application Engineer in Germany to provide technical support across customers and distribution partners in Europe. The role is permanent and based in Reutlingen or Karlsruhe with domestic and international travel.

You will interface with customers during design-in, development, and ramp-up; analyze requirements, recommend sensor solutions (humidity, gas, ultrasonic), and deliver demonstrations, architecture reviews, and workshops. Travel required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required in EE/related field.
• 3+ years in FAE or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience with sensor technologies and real-world applications.
• Distributor/channel partner experience in OEM environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and partners across design-in, development, and ramp-up phases.
• Analyse customer requirements and recommend sensor solutions across humidity, gas, and ultrasonic applications.
• Provide hands-on technical support including system architecture reviews, schematic/layout reviews, debugging, and performance optimisation.
• Partner with Sales to drive technical credibility in customer engagements, RFQs, and design wins.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and application workshops — onsite and virtual.
• Develop application notes, reference designs, and technical documentation.
• Train internal sales teams and distribution partners on products and value propositions.
• Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and technical forums.

We are partnered with an innovative leader in environmental sensing technologies looking to hire a Field Application Engineer to join their team in Germany to provide technical support across their customers and distribution partners in Europe.

This is a permanent position based out of either of the teams offices in Germany - Reutlingen or Karlsruhe.

Key responsibilities for this Field Application Engineer position:

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and distribution partners across design-in, development, and ramp-up phases.
• Analyse customer requirements and recommend optimal sensor solutions across humidity, gas, and ultrasonic applications.
• Provide hands‑on technical support including system architecture reviews, schematic/layout reviews, debugging, and performance optimisation.
• Partner with Sales to drive technical credibility in customer engagements, RFQs, and design wins.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and application workshops — onsite and virtual.
• Develop application notes, reference designs, and technical documentation.
• Train internal sales teams and distribution partners on products and value propositions.
• Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and technical forums.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Field Application Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of sensor technologies and real-world applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot at both system and component level.
• Experience supporting distributors or channel partners in OEM environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
