Chief Content Officer (CCO) | Merging Creative Vision with Cutting-Edge Tech to Bring Learning to Life

We are currently building our Teaching Artist team to teach our creative curriculums. We are working all over Germany and expanding into other EU countries including Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. We are recruiting specifically English speakers at a Native level (or demonstrated C1-2) living in the EU with previous teaching experience, that have the ability to invoice and work in a freelance capacity.

Our non-profit organisation offers in-school workshops, class trips and camps for students in grades 1-13, offering English instruction through cultural exchange, play and creative activities that run for a day to a whole week. We are looking for dynamic facilitators that can teach ALL of our programs so if you have experience in areas such as film, dance, theatre and singing, creative writing, or have a unique hobby please highlight this along with your English teaching experience.

Your Profile

We will only review applications that comply with the following requirements:

• You are a proficient Native English speaker or demonstrating C-2 level
• You have experience instructing or teaching children
• You live in the EU and have a valid work visa that allows you to FREELANCE
• You have a tax number and a EU bank account
• You have an EU/ German police background check or are willing to obtain one

Legal Requirements:

• To work with children you must have a clean Police Background Check (certificate of good conduct). If you're hired we'll show you how to get this, it takes up to 2-4 weeks to get, it'll cost you 13 €, you can use it valid for up to 5 years
• CPR Training - To work with children in many of our programs you'll need to be officially certified. Good news, there are plenty of places to sign up for this, many are in English, and InterACT English reimburses for these programs.
• You are required to hold proof of your vaccination or immunity against Measles and Covid.

What kind of work is this?

This is a FREELANCE CONTRACT position. For further understanding- Basically, once you have completed the onboarding process, training, filled out your availability, your TA (Teaching Artist) registration, we'll then email you work orders that you can accept or decline and begin your journey towards your project for that week.

Where are many of InterACT's programs?

90% of InterACT English's programs are outside of bigger cities. Please keep in mind that your availability has to come with the availability to travel. It is also mandatory that our Teaching Artists are at the location before the program starts (ie: If the program goes from Monday to Friday, you will arrive at the location on Sunday, teach through the week and leave on Friday after the program is over.) Will there be training?

Absolutely! This includes: onboarding, access to resource knowledge base, and occasional voluntary training workshops which you can apply to increase your pay level.
