We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join the Fronted Platform Team within the Engineering and Operations function at zooplus. The role focuses on delivering a robust and scalable Frontend Platform and drive support to other development teams to adopt and leverage the platform.

Your responsibilities for this role:

• You take ownership of ensuring the successful delivery of our Product Teams commitments by setting clear goals and expectations.
• You have a strong commitment to maintaining a high standard of technical excellence by emphasizing best practices and industry trends.
• You create an inspiring environment with an open communication culture and an outstanding way of collaboration throughout the whole zooplus.
• You ensure that your teams are in line with zoopluss business and technology strategy operating models and guidelines.
• You contribute to the development of general strategic guidelines organizational & technical frameworks and the corresponding processes.
• You support your teams as an agile driver & coach of the software delivery process.
• You are responsible for growing qualified and motivated people in your teams to meet business & tech expectations.
• You actively participate in the recruitment and retention process ensuring a healthy composition of the Product Team.
• You work with the Domain Engineering Manager to monitor and optimize budget costs related to product expenses such as AWS licenses externals and personnel costs.

Qualifications :

• A minimum of 8 years of invaluable experience in Software Development.
• A profound understanding of software engineering and design fundamentals complemented by hands‑on design expertise.
• You understand and ideally have hands‑on experience with Typescript NextJs & React server components Monorepo State management Aurora DB (postgresql) Caching and test automation tools like Playwright & Jest.
• Strong understanding of modern DevOps and cloud‑native technologies including Jenkins for deployment Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration Istio and Gloomesh for service mesh AWS with CloudFront for scalable cloud delivery and Git/Bitbucket for code management.
