INVENSITY is seeking an embedded software engineer to develop and optimize software for modern controller platforms and drive technologies. You will work on real-time communication, embedded systems, and industrial networks to deliver high-performance automation solutions.

The role involves integrating third‑party components, operating in a modern, agile, model‑driven environment, and collaborating with international teams for innovative technologies across industries.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications and information technology or a comparable field.
• Several years of professional embedded software experience with C/C++ under RTOS.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet-based protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, PTP) and IEEE 1588/TSN/X.509.
• German at business level and very good English.

Your contribution

You’ll develop and optimize software for modern controller platforms, variable-frequency drives, and servo drives. With your expertise in real‑time communication, embedded systems, and industrial networks, you’ll lay the foundation for high-performance, reliable, and future‑proof automation solutions.

Your profile

• A successfully completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications and information technology, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in hardware‑oriented embedded software development using C/C++ under real‑time operating systems (RTOS), as well as in‑depth knowledge of Python and Git‑based development environments
• In‑depth knowledge of Ethernet‑based communication protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, and PTP; ideally supplemented by experience with industry standards such as IEEE 1588, TSN, and X.509
• Knowledge of C#, SQL, GoogleTest, and Jenkins, as well as experience with Azure DevOps/Pipelines, Visual Studio Code, or modern CI/CD processes, is a plus
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical issues to various stakeholders in a way that is tailored to their needs, understandable, and practical
• Business‑level proficiency in German and very good English skills
