INVENSITY is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to develop and optimize software for modern controller platforms, drives, and industrial networks in a hybrid work setup in Germany.

You will integrate third‑party components, work in an agile, model-driven environment, and collaborate with international teams across industries. German business fluency and very good English are expected, with structured onboarding and ongoing professional development.

Qualifikationen

• BSc or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, communications and information technology or equivalent.
• Several years of professional experience in hardware-oriented embedded software with RTOS.
• In-depth knowledge of Ethernet-based protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, PTP); IEEE 1588, TSN and X.509 are a plus.

Your contribution

You’ll develop and optimize software for modern controller platforms, variable-frequency drives, and servo drives. With your expertise in real-time communication, embedded systems, and industrial networks, you’ll lay the foundation for high-performance, reliable, and future-proof automation solutions.

Your profile

• A successfully completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications and information technology, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in hardware-oriented embedded software development using C/C++ under real-time operating systems (RTOS), as well as in-depth knowledge of Python and Git-based development environments
• In-depth knowledge of Ethernet-based communication protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, and PTP; ideally supplemented by experience with industry standards such as IEEE 1588, TSN, and X.509
• Knowledge of C#, SQL, GoogleTest, and Jenkins, as well as experience with Azure DevOps/Pipelines, Visual Studio Code, or modern CI/CD processes, is a plus
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical issues to various stakeholders in a way that is tailored to their needs, understandable, and practical
• Business-level proficiency in German and very good English skills
