Zusammenfassung

ESMC in Dresden is seeking an experienced EHS Compliance Engineer (m/f/d) to establish and continually improve the Environmental, Safety & Health management system while ensuring compliance with German and European regulations. You will lead audits, translate legal requirements into practical processes, and collaborate with regulators and internal teams to enhance ESG initiatives.

The role requires at least 5 years in EHS, strong knowledge of ISO 14001/45001, and fluency in German and English.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Environmental, Health & Safety.
  • Experience as an ESH Officer with responsibility for regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of German EHS legislation (BImSchG, ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV).

Aufgaben

  • Develop and continuously improve the site’s ESH management system aligned with corporate standards.
  • Monitor and interpret German and European ESH regulations and ensure site compliance.
  • Translate legal requirements into practical processes and support departments in implementing compliant solutions.
  • Advise managers and employees on environmental, occupational safety and health topics.
  • Perform ESH officer responsibilities within your area of expertise.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify hazards.
  • Provide guidance to operational departments translating legal requirements into practical ESH standards.
  • Collaborate with authorities, external partners and internal stakeholders on compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support ESG initiatives and improve ESH performance across the site.

We are looking for a highly motivated EHS Compliance Engineer (m/f/d) who will help establish and continuously improve our Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) management system while ensuring compliance with German and European regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve the site’s ESH management system in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Monitor new and changing German and European ESH legislation and ensure legal compliance across the site.
  • Translate legal requirements into practical processes and support departments in implementing compliant solutions.
  • Advise managers and employees on environmental, occupational safety and health topics.
  • Perform environmental and occupational safety officer responsibilities within your area of expertise.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Provide expert guidance to operational departments by translating legal and regulatory requirements into practical ESH standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with authorities, external partners and internal stakeholders on compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Support ESG initiatives and continuously improve ESH performance across the site.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Environmental, Health & Safety.
  • Experience as an Environmental, Occupational Safety or other legally appointed ESH Officer with responsibility for regulatory compliance.
  • Practical experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of German environmental and occupational health & safety legislation, including BImSchG, ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or another highly regulated production environment is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to assess operational risks in day‑to‑day production.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to explain legal requirements in a practical and understandable way.
  • Structured, analytical and solution‑oriented working style.
  • Fluent German and English.
