Zusammenfassung

Karbon seeks an instructional designer to analyze learning needs with the Education & Enablement Manager and SMEs, and to design/self-create self-paced e-learning content including modules, tutorials, and job aids. You will build scenario-based content, performance support, and assessments, applying adult-learning principles and accessibility standards.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or educational content development.
• Portfolio available for review.
• Experience using AI as part of a real production workflow.

• Ability to turn complex technical subject matter into clear, practical content.
• Ability to become fluent in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax workflows.
• Confident asynchronous communication across time zones.
• Strong visual design skills.
• Comfort working with completion rates, feedback scores, and usage metrics.

Aufgaben

• Analyze learning needs with the Education & Enablement Manager and subject matter experts.
• Design and develop self-paced e-learning courseware, video tutorials, interactive modules, microlearning, guided walkthroughs, and job aids.
• Build scenario-based content around customer personas and fictional firm environments.
• Create time-of-need performance support and go-to-market education.
• Develop assessments and knowledge checks.
• Apply adult learning principles, the learning objective matrix, Karbon design map, brand guidelines, and accessibility considerations.
• Own quality review and take content from first draft to review-ready.
• Use AI tools for storyboarding, scripting, research, and asset creation; review outputs for accuracy and instructional soundness.
• Test AI tools and document effective approaches.
• Build and maintain Karbon product and industry knowledge.
• Partner with Customer Success, Support, Product, Marketing, and subject matter experts.
• Analyze learner data, customer feedback, and product usage to recommend improvements.
• Report on content performance and Karbon Academy impact.
• Support learner and customer education inquiries, LMS administration, consumption reporting, and certification badging.
• In the first 90 days, complete Karbon Academy, publish a course module, run a course through the AI-assisted workflow, and present performance data with recommendations.

• Accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or financial-services experience is a bonus
• Hands-on Karbon experience is a bonus
• Experience designing for global audiences and multiple regulatory contexts is a bonus
