- Develop new in-person or online training courses from initial scope through final approved deliverable
- Review, correct, update, or modernize existing courses as standards, regulations, technologies, or business needs change
- Develop training courses covering construction, industrial safety, oil and gas, equipment, regulatory compliance, emergency response, and safety management
- Create complete course packages including outlines, lesson plans, presentations, instructor guides, student materials, assessments, practical exercises, regulatory references, scripts, and visual recommendations
- Develop online courses directly within Articulate Rise 360, including structure, interactions, assessments, and final publishing
- Research current, accurate, and authoritative technical and regulatory sources
- Follow company curriculum templates, instructional standards, formatting requirements, and adult-learning principles
- Participate in project scoping, milestone reviews, revisions, and final approval activities
- Incorporate feedback from operations leadership, internal reviewers, SMEs, and designated stakeholders
- Complete in-scope revisions at no additional cost and identify out-of-scope changes for written approval
- Provide original work and disclose third-party materials, licensed content, or other intellectual property
- Support VISTA’s review and revision process before final acceptance
Requirements
- Demonstrated technical or field expertise in relevant construction, industrial, safety, oil and gas, equipment, or workforce-training subjects
- Ability to translate technical knowledge into organized, understandable training content
- Demonstrated experience creating instructor-led or online training curricula
- Ability to research technical topics and collaborate with qualified SMEs
- Understanding of adult-learning principles, learning objectives, assessments, and instructional structure
- Strong technical writing, research, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and meet agreed deadlines
- Contractors may qualify through technical subject-matter expertise, professional curriculum-development experience, or a combination of both
- Relevant work samples are preferred but not required
- Industry certifications, instructional-design credentials, train-the-trainer qualifications, or professional designations are preferred where relevant
Demonstrates expertise in developing training courses across various subjects, including construction and industrial safety, while applying adult-learning principles and instructional design standards. Proficient in project management and technical writing, with the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to create effective training content.
