Job summary

ZEISS Group in Germany (Baden-Württemberg, Oberkochen) is seeking a dedicated Mechatronics Development Engineer (m/f/x) to solve technical problems in a structured team setting. You will contribute to process development for integration, commissioning, and qualification of mechatronic modules, with emphasis on MATLAB-based analysis and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical field with strong emphasis on mechatronics and control engineering.
• Excellent knowledge in control engineering and mechatronics, including system identification and tuning.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in MATLAB, with experience in large code repositories desirable.
• Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and fault classification in mechatronic systems.
• Structured problem solving and proactive stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Process development for integration, commissioning, and qualification of mechatronic modules and systems.
• Requirements management: define qualification-process and test-bench requirements with stakeholders.
• Work-package ownership: guide development of test benches and processes, commissioning, and handover to production.
• Technical planning and responsibility for work packages in system integration with focus on mechatronic qualification.
• Measurements and analyses: evaluate mechanical, electrical, and dynamic properties of components and machines.
• Software development: develop analysis algorithms and measurement software in MATLAB.
