ZEISS Group is seeking a skilled engineer to conceptualize, develop, and design advanced connection systems and fibre-optic-based measurement integrations for complex machines. You will coordinate with hardware and software teams, prepare technical docs, and support commissioning and certification of new developments.

The role emphasizes initiative, teamwork, and strong communication in German and English, with on-site collaboration in Baden-Württemberg, Oberkochen.

Formación

• University degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics or Optical Engineering, or similar discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in connection technology, ideally in high-speed data exchange and fibre-optic measurement integration.

Responsabilidades

• Conceptualisation, development and design of connection systems, including connectors and cable layout.
• Integration of optical data transmission elements into complex electronic systems such as rack assemblies and PCBs.
• Overseeing and managing design tasks in embedded electronics.
• Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications and test reports.
• Close collaboration with hardware and software developers to deliver integrated solutions up to series production.
• Support with commissioning and certification of new developments.
