Job description

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing TechnologyEnabler for smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient microchipsWorking for tomorrow today.Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronicsYour RoleTechnical responsibility for high-precision actuation systems throughout the entire product lifecycle, from development to series productsFurther development of actuation systems with a focus on design verification, manufacturability, integrability, and risk managementCoordination and integration of actuation systems with adjacent disciplines such as mechanics, sensor technology, electronics, control engineering, and softwareEnsuring quality, performance, and delivery capability in close collaboration with production, suppliers and system developmentRequirements engineering in close cooperation with relevant stakeholdersTechnical supplier management and further development of suppliers, as well as evaluation of development and manufacturing processesPresentation of the assigned topics to internal and external customersYour ProfileExcellent university degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering cybernetics or a comparable field; initial professional experience and/or a PhD are desirableStrong knowledge of relevant mechatronics disciplines (actuation, sensor technology, electronics, control engineering, dynamics, thermal engineering)Proven experience in the development, characterization and application of piezo-based actuators, ideally in high precision positioning or optical systemsProgramming skills (e.g. in Python, MATLAB or C/C++) are a plusAn independent and systematic way of working, as well as excellent organizational and communication skillsTeam spirit, assertiveness and a high level of commitment and motivationWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyFluent in German and English, both written and spokenYour ZEISS Recruiting Team:Ramazan Azgin
