Zusammenfassung

PUMA is seeking a Designer for Teamsport Apparel in Herzogenaurach, Germany. You will own the design process from ideation to final production, translate brand strategies into sporty apparel concepts, and mentor junior designers while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You have 4+ years of apparel design experience in sportswear, strong knowledge of fabrics and 3D tools (VStitcher, Adobe Illustrator), and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Apparel Design in the sportswear or casual sports lifestyle industry in a performance category
• Strong knowledge of fabrics and new industry technologies & executions
• Strong 3D software knowledge and ability (Ideally VStitcher)
• Macintosh skills with Adobe Illustrator
• Strong ability to see projects through all phases of research, design, tech packs, fittings, and final prototypes
• Interest in Football and the culture
• Very good communication and presentation skills in English
• University degree in Design or relevant field of study

Aufgaben

• Demonstrate excellence in creation and execution of innovative designs following the brand, category and product strategies
• Take ownership of the whole design process, from ideation till final production approval
• Contribute to the formulation of the seasonal creative direction and support the Teamhead guiding and supervising the team through its implementation
• Elaborate and present concepts, sketches and final designs in a compelling, clear, transparent and effective way to the design team as well as our product counterparts and external stakeholders
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a holistic approach to the product as well as a consumer centered strategy, following the brand’s perspective
• Integrate product, functional and technical developments into designtasks in order to improve business processes and enhance customer/consumer engagement
• Challenge the global brand positioning guidelines to ensure consideration of new product and program ideas and appropriate modification when necessary
• Collect market intelligence, providing all accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments and utilizing them effectively
• In support of the Teamhead, help to manage, mentor and inspire other members of the design team as well as external resources (freelancers, etc)
• Keep track and support the team to deliver projects in line with PUMA development calendar.
