Eligo Recruitment seeks a contract Project Manager for a 22-week hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt. The role covers pre-construction (weeks 1–5, largely remote) and on-site execution (weeks 6–19) with handover in weeks 20–22.

You will own the fibre/telecoms package end-to-end, produce BOMs, maintain schedules, manage changes, coordinate deliveries, and report progress to the client. Availability on short notice is preferred.

Where does a contract project manager add the most value, on site or before anyone gets there?

Our client has built five weeks of pre-construction into this one before a single person goes to site, which tells you something about how they run a job. The full contract is 22 weeks on a hyperscale data centre build in Frankfurt, covering the fibre and telecoms infrastructure package from design receipt through to handover.

Our client is a European digital infrastructure and network services group delivering structured cabling and passive infrastructure for major hyperscale operators across the UK and Europe. They would take the right contractor over waiting out a notice period, so if you are available now or close to it, this is worth a conversation.

The programme

• Weeks 1 to 5, pre-construction. Largely remote. Design review, bill of materials, procurement planning and the schedule everything else hangs off.
• Weeks 6 to 19, construction. On site in Frankfurt. Running the package day to day, controlling change, keeping deliveries and stock straight.
• Weeks 20 to 22, handover. On site. Closing out documentation, snagging and formal handover.

What you need

• Proven delivery of fibre and telecoms infrastructure packages on live data centre builds
• Experience on hyperscale operator projects
• Structured cabling knowledge across Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a copper and OM3, OM4, OM5, OS1 and OS2 fibre
• Primavera P6, earned value management and BIM 360
• Availability to be on site in Frankfurt for the seventeen site-based weeks
• Available immediately or at short notice
• The right to work in Germany, or a willingness to work through the client's assignment arrangements

German is useful on site but the project runs in English.
