Job summary

Orizon GmbH is seeking a Contract Manager Procurement for our client Airbus Defence and Space in Ottobrunn. You will draft, negotiate, and manage complex procurement contracts, ensuring alignment with economic, legal and risk requirements across international suppliers.

Responsibilities include contract lifecycle management, amendments, and securing executive validation. Fluency in German and English, plus formal legal training, are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree in law or an equivalent qualification.
• Mandatory experience in contract law: drafting contracts and negotiating procurement contracts.
• Commercial knowledge and a basic technical understanding; experience in program and supplier management in an international context.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with MS-Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Draft new standard procurement contracts incorporating economic, commercial, technological, legal and risk considerations.
• Revise and further develop existing standard procurement contracts; prepare negotiations and draft agreements with procurement buyers.
• Develop and negotiate contract amendments and settlements during contract lifecycle with procurement partners.
• Sign contract validation forms with executive summaries, deviations, risks and opportunities.
• Provide specialized contract analysis, drafting, design and negotiations for internal stakeholders.

Your prospective job:

You are acting as a Contract Manager Procurement (m/f/d) for our client Airbus Defence and Space in Ottobrunn.

Your responsibilities:

• Drafting of new standard procurement contracts integrating all relevant requirements (e.g. economic, commercial, technological, legal, risk management).
• Revision, optimization, further development of existing standard procurement contracts. Preparation of negotiation; contract drafting and execution of negotiations of contracts together with the procurement commodity buyers.
• Evolution of existing contractual documents: preparation, drafting and negotiation of e.g. complex contract amendments and settlement agreements during the life cycle of the contract together with Procurement Commodity Buyers.
• Signing of the contract validation form which shall content the key elements of the contract (executive summary, main deviations, risks and opportunities of the contract).
• Contractual analysis of agreements during the contract administration phase and/or in case of disagreements / potential forthcoming disputes between Company and suppliers concerning existing procurement contracts.
• Provision of specialized support and expertise in contract analysis, -drafting, - design and - negotiations for Company functions other than Procurement (except aircraft sales contracts). Advising internal stakeholders on contractual implications of internal (improvement) projects (e.g. confidentiality or intellectual property aspects).
• Development of new and further development of existing Procurement Academy trainings; coaching and training-on-the-job of junior buyers in the areas of contracts and negotiations.

Your profile:

• Completed master's degree in law or a comparable qualification
• Work experience in the field of Legal Systems
• Experience in contract law is mandatory (drafting contracts and negotiating procurement contracts)
• Commercial knowledge, a basic technical understanding and experience in program and supplier management in an international context is required
• Familiar with MS-Office
• Fluent German and English skills, written and spoken
