Memo3 GmbH is seeking a Consultant to strengthen our Manufacturing IT practice in Eschborn, focusing on integrating production systems (MES, historians) and ERP in GMP environments. You will drive defined work packages, design interfaces, analyze processes, and help expand our modular production offerings across Europe with a strong remote setup.

Qualificações

• Degree in computer science, information systems, automation, process engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years in Manufacturing IT, MES, automation, or integration projects, preferably in pharma, biotech, or other GMP environments.
• Hands-on experience with at least one Level 3 system or platform (e.g. MES, historian, LIMS, or a workflow platform).
• Experience analyzing production or business processes and translating them into requirements and solution concepts.
• Good understanding of interfaces and integration technologies (ISA-95, OPC UA, REST APIs, SQL).
• Basic knowledge of GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity
• Confident in client-facing communication

Responsabilidades

• Design integration architectures between automation (Level 2), MES and Level 3 systems, and ERP (Level 4) based on ISA-95.
• Specify and test interfaces for orders, materials, recipes, equipment status, and electronic batch records.
• Contribute to the integration of modular plants and process orchestration layers (POL) with MES.
• Configure and connect historians and data sources for process, batch, and equipment data (e.g. AVEVA PI, Aspen IP.21).
• Contribute to data models and contextualization for reporting, analytics, and continued process verification.
• Work with OPC UA, MQTT, and Unified Namespace concepts.
• Analyze production and quality processes on the shop floor and document as-is workflows, pain points, and data flows.
• Translate process requirements into solution concepts and identify the right system layer (automation, MES, historian, workflow platform, or ERP).
• Define to-be processes, user requirements, and fit-gap analyses for system selection and implementation.
• Own defined work packages within client projects and report progress, effort, and open points.
• Prepare, co-facilitate, and document workshops with production, automation, IT, and QA stakeholders.
• Write requirements, functional specifications, and test documentation.
• Apply GAMP 5, data integrity requirements (ALCOA+), 21 CFR Part 11, and EU GMP Annex 11, with guidance where needed.
• Support risk-based testing together with our validation consultants

As a Consultant, you will work in our client projects from day one on the integration of production systems in GxP-regulated manufacturing: MES and other Level 3 systems, historians, workflow platforms and ERP.

You will work closely with the founders and senior colleagues and take over defined work packages: process analyses, interface specifications, data models, and test documentation. At the same time, you will help build Memo3's Manufacturing IT offering and connect it with our MTP and modular production work.

Key Responsibilities

Your Profile

Must-have

Strong Advantage

• Experience with process modeling methods (e.g. BPMN, value stream mapping)
• Experience with an MES (e.g. Körber PAS-X, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Emerson Syncade)
• Historian experience (e.g. AVEVA PI, Aspen IP.21)
• Knowledge of MTP, POL, or modular production concepts
• First consulting or system-integrator experience

Personal Skills

• Structured thinker who documents clearly and keeps decisions traceable
• Eager to learn and take on responsibility step by step
• Clear communicator with production, IT, QA, and management
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage
• Willingness to travel to client sites across Europe
