Memo3 GmbH in Eschborn, Germany, seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to own automation architectures for modular production and MTP-based plug‑and‑produce systems. You will design, implement, and commission GMP‑compliant automation solutions bridging PLC, Soft PLC, MES/ERP, and digital twin concepts.

You will drive technical ownership across projects, contribute to standards, mentor junior engineers, and help shape Memo3’s automation stack in Pharma 4.0 contexts.

Qualificações

• Degree in automation engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years hands-on experience in automation engineering or control systems.
• Strong expertise in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal/S7, Beckhoff, Rockwell).
• Experience with SCADA/HMI systems (COPA-DATA zenon, WinCC).
• Experience in GMP-regulated industries (pharma, biotech, food & beverage).
• Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, PROFINET, Modbus, MQTT).

Lead automation engineer for MTP-based Plug & Produce solutions in life sciences and process industry. Full lifecycle ownership from specification through GMP qualification, bridging classical PLC/SCADA/HMI with modern MTP, Soft PLC, and orchestration.

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will take technical ownership of automation architectures in modular production projects and act as a key interface between client requirements and implementation.

You will design, implement, and commission advanced automation solutions in GMP-regulated environments and play a central role in bringing MTP-based plug-and-produce systems to life.

In addition, you will contribute to internal standards, guide junior engineers, and actively shape Memo3’s automation approach and technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering & Implementation
• Design, develop, and commission automation solutions for the life sciences and process industries, with a strong focus on MTP (Module Type Package) architectures and Plug & Produce integration.
• Develop functional specifications, control strategies, and automation concepts
• Modular Production & MTP
• Implement MTP-based architectures (PEA, POL), parameterize PLC, Soft PLC applications and Plug & Produce integration
• Design scalable automation concepts for modular production environments

• Integrate automation systems with MES, ERP (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), and data platforms
• Use simulation tools and digital twins for virtual commissioning and testing

• Plan and execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, and IQ/OQ/PQ activities

Your Profile

• Must-have
• Degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field
• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in automation engineering or control systems Strong expertise in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal / S7, Beckhoff, Rockwell)
• Experience with SCADA/HMI systems (e.g. COPA-DATA zenon, WinCC)
• Experience in GMP-regulated industries (pharma, biotech, food & beverage)
• Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, PROFINET, Modbus, MQTT)
• Nice‑to‑have
• Experience with MTP (Module Type Package) and modular production concepts
• Knowledge of ISA-88/95, NOA, or Pharma 4.0 architectures
• Experience with MES/ERP integration
