g2 Recruitment is supporting a major project management consultancy to connect with experienced Civil/Mechanical Construction Managers / Bauleiters for freelance opportunities in the Berlin region. The role is a 9–12 month engagement with start in Q1 2027, requiring fluent German and EU freelancer rights. Location is Berlin, Germany.

Rate is negotiable, and engagement is B2B freelance. 4+ years of Bauleiter or Construction Manager experience is expected, with strong contractor and stakeholder

I am currently supporting a major project management consultancy that is preparing to commence a large-scale construction project in the Berlin region within the next few months. As part of their workforce planning, we are looking to connect with experienced Civil/Mechanical Construction Managers / Bauleiter who may be interested in future freelance opportunities.

Location: Berlin, Germany

Duration: 9-12 months (anticipated)

Start Date: Q1 2027

Language: Fluent German required

Engagement: B2B Freelance

Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the full scope of construction activities across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating contractors, subcontractors and site management teams.
• Monitoring quality, health & safety, schedule and technical compliance.
• Managing interfaces between engineering, construction and client stakeholders.
• Reviewing progress, risks and project performance against programme milestones.

• Previous experience working for an EPC contractor, consultancy or principal contractor.
