Pylontech in Germany is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager (Energy Storage) to lead on-site execution of projects across the DACH region. You will take full ownership from installation and commissioning through to handover, ensuring safety, timeliness and high quality.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least 3 years in renewable energy, fluency in English and German, and willingness to travel internationally.

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager (Energy Storage) to lead the on-site execution of energy storage projects across the DACH region. In this role, you will take full ownership of project delivery at site level—from installation and commissioning through to final acceptance and handover—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for on-site project delivery, including logistics coordination, system installation, commissioning, and final acceptance
• Develop and execute site delivery plans, ensuring alignment with project timelines and resource allocation
• Manage on-site teams and subcontractors, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and execution priorities
• Coordinate internal resources (engineering, product, supply chain, etc.) to ensure smooth project delivery
• Act as the primary on-site interface with clients, EPC contractors, and stakeholders; manage expectations and maintain strong customer relationships
• Lead Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and oversee successful project handover
• Ensure proper documentation and completion of handover from delivery to O&M (operations & maintenance) teams

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Renewable Energy, or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the renewable energy or power industry
• At least 1 year of experience in one of the following roles:

Energy storage project delivery lead

Power plant commissioning manager

EPC site manager

• Experience with large-scale international or utility/C&I energy projects is highly preferred
• Solid understanding of construction management, commissioning processes, and grid connection procedures
• Strong project execution and decision-making capabilities, with a high level of ownership and accountability
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
• Fluent in English and German (spoken and written); Chinese is a strong advantage
