Uneek Global in Berlin is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial battery storage projects. You will own projects from contract award through commissioning, coordinating customers, contractors, technology partners and network operators to ensure successful project delivery.

The role requires a strong technical background in LV/MV systems, grid connections, SLDs, metering and risk management, with fluent German and professional English.

Technical Project Manager – Battery Energy Storage

We are working with a growing business operating within the energy storage sector. They are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial and industrial battery storage projects.

The role will take ownership of projects from contract award through to commissioning, working with customers, contractors, technology partners and network operators to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage battery storage projects from contract award through to commissioning.
• Take ownership of project schedules, budgets, quality and technical delivery.
• Coordinate electrical contractors, suppliers, engineering partners and customer teams.
• Manage grid connection applications and communication with network operators.
• Coordinate technical documentation, approvals, testing and certification.
• Review single-line diagrams (SLDs), metering concepts and electrical specifications.
• Support grid connection, protection and compliance requirements.
• Identify technical and delivery risks and implement practical solutions.
• Act as the key customer contact throughout project delivery.
• Help develop project processes, technical standards and delivery best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in technical project management or project delivery within energy, renewables, electrical engineering or infrastructure.
• Electrical, energy, power engineering or similar technical background.
• Understanding of commercial or industrial electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with grid connection processes and network operators.
• Knowledge of LV/MV systems, switchgear, transformers, protection and metering.
• Confidence reading single-line diagrams and technical specifications.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent German and professional English.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Solar PV or other distributed energy projects.
• German grid connection requirements and relevant VDE standards.
• EPC, engineering or project delivery environments.
