Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor seeks a senior Commissioning Lead to direct testing and energization of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems at solar and BESS sites. You will guide teams through NETA-based tests, interpret complex schematics, and ensure safe, compliant turnover of projects.

You will coordinate with SCADA, construction and utility partners while maintaining rigorous documentation and progress reporting across multiple sites. Travel across states is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in a leadership or senior technical role commissioning electrical systems.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical testing methods, equipment, and NETA standards.
• Strong ability to interpret complex control logic and technical drawings.
• Experience in field execution management, troubleshooting, and project reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Lead and supervise testing and commissioning of LV/MV electrical systems, inverters, transformers and BESS distribution equipment.
• Oversee NETA-based testing including Megger, VOC, VLF and TTR.
• Manage startup, energization and troubleshooting of AC/DC components at solar and BESS sites.
• Review drawings to verify installation quality and resolve field issues.
• Coordinate with construction, SCADA teams and utility partners on integration and protocols.
• Finalize commissioning docs, test results and turnover packages.
• Enforce safety, NEC/NFPA 70E codes and site requirements; supervise LOTO procedures.
• Assist Commissioning Director with resource planning, scheduling and progress reporting.

• Lead and supervise testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, inverters, transformers, and BESS power distribution equipment
• Oversee NETA-based testing, including Megger, VOC Testing, VLF, and TTR
• Manage startup, energization, and troubleshooting of AC and DC components at solar and BESS sites
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams to verify installation quality and resolve field engineering issues
• Coordinate with construction leads, SCADA teams, and utility partners on system integration and communication protocols
• Review and finalize commissioning documentation, test results, and turnover packages
• Enforce safety protocols, NEC/NFPA 70E codes, and site-specific requirements
• Manage and audit LOTO energy isolation procedures
• Assist the Commissioning Director with resource planning, scheduling, and progress reporting across multiple project sites

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership or senior technical role commissioning electrical systems within solar, BESS, or utility/industrial sectors
• Advanced knowledge of electrical testing methods, specialized equipment, and NETA standards
• Strong ability to interpret control logic, advanced technical drawings, and protective relay settings
• Demonstrated experience in field execution management including troubleshooting, team coordination, and project reporting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage subcontractor relationships and internal stakeholders
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites across multiple states
• Ability to lead testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, and BESS power distribution equipment
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70E electrical codes and LOTO procedures
