Jobtailor seeks a seasoned lead technician for field operations in the solar sector. You will supervise crews, troubleshoot utility-scale PV systems, and ensure safe, compliant maintenance and repairs across inverter and DC systems.

You will travel to solar farm sites, manage work orders, maintain logs, and train junior technicians while adhering to OSHA and NFPA 70E standards. A strong background in electrical troubleshooting is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 4-5+ years of utility-scale solar experience.
• Experience leading crews or as lead technician on-site.
• Experience with megawatt-scale PV systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills across inverters, DC systems, and power electronics.
• Experience with solar operations and maintenance work.

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits


• Perform LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans


• Assign work, track progress, and keep jobs on schedule


• Perform operations and maintenance on utility-scale solar plants


• Inspect completed work for quality and safety compliance


• Enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements on-site


• Diagnose system issues and resolve them in the field


• Complete work orders, service logs, and required documentation


• Operate and maintain the company vehicle and tools


• Train and support junior technicians in the field

Requirements

• 4-5+ years of utility-scale solar experience


• Experience leading crews or acting as lead technician on-site


• Experience working on megawatt-scale PV systems


• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills, including inverters, DC systems, and power electronics


• Experience with solar operations and maintenance work


• Working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards


• Experience using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and testing equipment


• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office


• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.


• Ability to travel 100% and frequently travel to solar farm sites


• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions


• Must follow all OSHA and company safety requirements
