Jobtailor is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer to develop and implement commissioning plans for electrical systems in power generation projects, with a focus on HV/MV/LV equipment and control systems.

The role involves coordinating with OEMs, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure safety, compliance, and timely project delivery at remote sites. Strong field experience and communication skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in power generation, preferably hydro or pumped storage
• Strong understanding of HV/MV/LV electrical systems and protection schemes
• Experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, and control logic
• Hands-on experience with commissioning procedures, safety protocols, and energisation processes
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
• Ability to work in field conditions at remote project sites and shift work if required
• Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail

• Coordinate and execute loop checks, functional tests, and energization plans
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, OEM, and operations teams to meet project schedules and quality standards
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Support integration of KPSH with the wider electrical grid and ensure compliance with grid codes and standards
• Record test results and prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation
• Liaise with utility providers, regulatory bodies, and third-party testing agencies

• Ensure HSE compliance during commissioning activities
• Record test results and prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation
• Liaise with utility providers, regulatory bodies, and third-party testing agencies
• Manage and monitor preservation and O&M requirements according to equipment manuals
• Assist the permit team with permit planning and application reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in power generation, preferably hydro or pumped storage
• Strong understanding of electrical systems including HV/MV/LV, protection schemes, and control systems
• Strong understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, and control logic
• Hands-on experience with commissioning procedures, safety protocols, and energisation processes
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings
• Ability to work in field conditions, including remote project sites, with rotating or extended shifts if required
• Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail
