Job Title: Customer Relationship Manager – Retail/Consumer Goods (d/f/m)
Location: Germany (Frankfurt)
Key Responsibilities
- Market Leadership – Executes account’s strategy for long-term profitable growth and positions Cognizant as a thought partner and business leader within the client
- Developed experience working in one or more of the following industries: Manufacturing, Automotive, Retail/Consumer Goods, Transportation/Logistics and/or Energy & Utilities industry.
- Deeply understands the client’s Business and Digital strategies especially where applicable to their portfolio.
- Builds an Account Plan to be reviewed and incorporated into the broader market plan for above industry.
- Executes and manages the account plan through establishing key relationships with business, IT and procurement leads within their portfolio.
- Identifies new clients, also qualifies add-on opportunities to existing engagements.
- Relationship Management - Cultivates long-term client relationships and aims to broaden Cognizant’s relationship footprint with key clients within the account.
- Invests time in creating client advocates for Cognizant by going above and beyond in relationship development.
- Participates in reviews and provides educated and relevant perspectives on key client relationships.
- Business Development - Creates opportunities and involves the right teams to position Cognizant credentials, assets and value to the client and qualifies, prioritises and assigns opportunities to deliver the highest percentage of wins.
- Responds to and delivers on client requests in an effective and timely manner.
- Identifies opportunities, makes proactive proposals to the client in line with the account strategy.
- Drives responses to RFPs, taking end to end ownership ensuring the response is compliant with the client and Cognizant’s processes.
- Engages the relevant teams for solutions and works collaboratively with all of account’s internal and external partners to deliver success.
- Account Operations - Delivers against the account strategy and goals at the account level; leads and manages the portfolio to ensure attainment of Client’s and Cognizant’s objectives.
- Forecasts and meets or exceeds quarterly and annual revenue & margin targets.
- Enhances profitability and actively drives portfolio’s overall financial performance.
Required Experience
- Client and industry knowledge:
- Proficiency in one of the following industries: Manufacturing, Automotive, Retail/Consumer Goods, Transportation/Logistics and/or Travel & Hospitality industry.
- Solid Business development experience – both Hunting and Farming, however the requirement is mainly for Hunting.
- Excellent communication skills:
- Reliable and dependable with clear, concise spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a global team.
- Results driven:
- Ambitious and hungry to demonstrate and prove leadership credentials.
- Self-starter and adaptable – can work independently or within a team structure.
- Building relationships and strengthening partnerships by focusing on exceptional client experience:
- Natural ability to build customer rapport and create client advocates for Cognizant.
- Customer orientated with ability to keep on top of all progress and potential risks across the portfolio and client landscape.
- Ability to balance risk and growth to deliver innovative engagements for clients.
Preferred Experience
- Concepts of financial, marketing and business strategy:
- Good understanding of P&L Management including revenue and margin forecasting and deal commercials.
- Business acumen:
- Working knowledge across Business Consulting, Application, Infrastructure and BPO services, and the opportunity for Digital Business.
- Deep knowledge in at least one Products and Resources domain area.
- Excellent bid management skills.
- Exposure to and understanding of multiple delivery and commercial constructs.
