The Hoxton Hamburg is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance and facilities operations for our new Hamburg property. You will manage budgets, PPM schedules, and the on-site team, while ensuring high standards of safety and service for guests and staff.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in building management operations.
• Experience with MEP systems and preventative maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessments.
• Proficient with facility management software/CMMS and asset tracking.
• Stock control and inventory management for maintenance supplies.
• Ability to manage budgets and optimise maintenance spend.
• Proven leadership of diverse teams and contractor coordination.
• Strong project management and change control skills.

The Hoxton is coming to Hamburg! The Hoxton’s second hotel in Germany is set to open in Hamburg, a city of stunning architecture criss-crossed by hundreds of canals and home to parks, cultural venues and a bustling gastronomic scene. Set as part of the exciting Alter Wall redevelopment project, The Hoxton, Hamburg will feature 188 bedrooms of varying sizes, a large lobby bar and ground floor restaurant, a beautiful rooftop restaurant and The Apartment - The Hoxton’s signature meeting and event space.

We are looking for a Chief Engineer to join our team at The Hoxton, Hamburg.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

• Responsible for the overall maintenance of the hotel’s facilities and equipment.
• Ensure that the maintenance budget and stock levels are controlled, ensuring that all expenses are kept in line with budget guidelines.
• To be fully aware, and competent in, all health and safety procedures, policies and assist with preparing all risk assessments.
• Ensure that there is an effective PPM schedules in place.
• Manage the onsite activity of all contractors.
• Order all maintenance supplies and ensure stock controls are in place.
• Maintain records of all machinery and equipment including manufacturers details, specifications, and manuals.
• Ensure that all fire safety equipment is maintained and tested in a timely manner.
• Arrange and co-ordinate quotations from suppliers in relation to maintenance work.
• Lead and manage a team of high-energy people who love our guests, by setting and monitoring goals, empowering and developing them, and creating an environment where people can be themselves.
• Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve and enhance processes and procedures.
• To be a member of the hotel crisis and fire teams, and to be fully conversant in all related procedures.
• Pro-actively project manage any changes in policies and procedures.
• Achieve and maintain the highest possible levels of customer service to both external and internal customers, forging long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Cover shift engineer shifts as required.
