Key Responsibilities

To strengthen our team, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Engineering (m/f/d) to lead technical operations across our hotel portfolio. Working closely with Operations, Development, and Finance teams, this role ensures reliable infrastructure, drives capital projects, and supports the sustainable growth of our European hotel operations.

• Overall responsibility for engineering, maintenance, and technical operations across the hotel portfolio
• Leadership, mentoring, and development of on-site engineering teams
• Planning and execution of new developments, renovations, and rebranding projects
• Conducting technical due diligence and developing infrastructure and utility concepts
• Close collaboration with architects, designers, and external consultants
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards
• Developing and implementing energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives (e.g., HVAC, BMS, monitoring systems)
• Managing CAPEX investments related to technical infrastructure
• Defining and implementing group-wide technical standards
• Coordinating closely with Finance, Operations, and Development teams
• Preparing reports, analyses, and decision-making materials for executive management

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or equivalent) or a related technical field
• Several years of leadership experience in a similar role, ideally in hospitality or real estate
• Proven track record in delivering energy efficiency programs and infrastructure projects
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, BMS, electrical, plumbing, fire safety)
• Experience in project management and budget control
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel across the hotel portfolio as required
